I have a TB who is accident prone, and her legs fill with the slightest nick to the skin. Frankly (don't care whether I'm called pathetic!!) I have to try and protect her legs when she's in the filed, not least to save my bank balance.

I've used turn out chaps but they have caused irritation when it's been hot as they're neoprene and get sweaty. I've used a home-made soft leg wrap - works great until you have a downpour in the middle of the night, and they come in saturated and hanging around her legs like Nora Batty So, considering using event grease.

Question is are there any long term implictions of covering her legs in this? Also, how do you remove it as the legs will need to have 12 hours to breathe, so I'll have to clean it off. Is it pretty easy to remove? Never been an eventer, as you can see. Thanks.
