Grey boy has funny looking patch on his face, we think might be fungal (Ringworm eek). Have got Imavarol from the vet who said "follow the instructions on the bottle", which says "wash 4 times and repeat after 3 days". Does this mean wash 4 times, one after another ie in the space of a few mins with 4 different pieces of cottonwool or wash 4 times over the course of a day, then a 3 day break before doing again ? My YO BTW says to wash three times a day every day....

How confusing. I'm sure when I was prescribed it some years ago, I just washed the area morning and evening daily until the hair started growing back. It generally knocks ringworm on the head quite quickly. You have to be sure of disinfecting everything else the horse comes into contact with as well with Virkon, like the stable, and everything in the grooming kit, and any rugs you might have been using.

Imaverol is diluted 1:50 and goes a very long way.

I would ring the vet to get some clarification on that vague instruction.

Our vet told us to wash 4 times in total with a break of 4 days in between - did the trick

So just to clarify, that's one wash, then a break of 4 days, then wash 2, and a break of 4 days, then wash 3 then a break of 4 days etc...
