Hey.
Has anyone ever used 'Rigcalm' on riggish geldings? My gelding thinks he's a stallion, covering mares and chasing away the other gelding in the field. I already use 'Naughty Gelding' with him which does help with his general attitude but I think I need something a bit more powerful. Any ideas other than this 'Rigcalm' stuff?
Thanks.

hi you could just buy the agnus castus and magnesium oxide (which are the main ingredients in most rig calm type products) direct from pro earth on ebay is really cheap . just a tip tho you might find your horse objects to the flavour cos theyre both quite strong -i add spearmint and garlic to disguise it. one of my horses was exactly like yours and they made a HUGE difference:D

Yes, we use it on our very riggy gelding and it works absolute wonders!! Without it he's a nightmare, but when he's taking it he genuinely doesn't even acknowledge my mare's existence - and she is a tart! :o
We actually had to reduce the dose a bit as he turned a bit too feminine and became very wimpy, but it definitely does what it promises & is very effective x

Ha ha! I don't think it's possible for my gelding to become wimpy but I'm certainly going to try it!! Do you use it over long periods of time? Thank you everyone, it really helps hearing people's real life experiences.

Im using agnus castus on my stroppy mare and on my older gelding, not because he is a rig but as it can help older horses horomones in relation to cushings :) He hasnt got it but hes getting on theses days being 22 :)

You would probably be cheaper getting agnus castus powder :)

I used one tub of it.
It was the first summer I had my warmblood gelding.
New home, new mares, he was like woo hoo!

I didn't use it again as he settled.
So not sure if it helped or he just calmed down in his new home!
