Do you cut the toe out and use the sock as a tube or leave the toe of the sock on and cover the hoof? Confused!

I know someone that uses leg warmers on her horse (looks like hes been raving in the bright coloured ones!) i guess its the same theory! x

Okay thanks. I've bought some cheapy mens socks so will see if they'll squeeze over her hoof okay and go from there. Certainly cheaper than wraps!

I LOVE the idea of having brightly coloured leg warmers on a horse! Discrete tape at top and bottom would keep them up & would be very cool!

*searches internet for cheap leg warmers*

Hey, I've got some lovely black and florescent pink stripey leg warmers here. And a nice pair in florescent green stripe, too. Too tight for my muscly (AKA fat) calfs...... never thought of letting C wear them!!!! I could start a new trend at the yard. :D

Yeah the pastern wraps just ride up and don't actually protect the heel or pastern area.
I found heel rubs were the biggest issue and mens sport socks work a treat, it's a case of getting the right size that goes on but is a snug fit, bit like the boots!

If you've an OH raid his sock drawer :D
Mmmm maybe ur male, if so raid ur own ;)
