I've now received the 200c tablets and Thuja cream from my online order, but need advice on how many pills to give and how often to apply the cream. Advice online seems mixed.

The horse has mixed sarcoids around the groin and inner thighs. A couple are grey and sausage like in shape, hanging down about 2.5 cm and are ~1.5cm in diameter. The rest are the smaller, flat circular variety. There are a also few wart like growths, too.

He only developed after he went out in May for ONE DAY without his fly rug on and got bitten. The first sarcoid appeared within a week, on the site of one of the bites. We've cattle in the next field over.

Interested to see replies on this post as I am going to get the same for my young mare. We have just finished her 3rd cycle of Liverpool Cream since May and I'm still awaiting the scabs to drop off on a few of her sarcoids. I have spoken to my vet about using homeopathic treatment alongside conventional treatment in the hope of boosting my mare's immune system.

two tablets a day and apply the cream up to twice a day thats what im doing as it was what the vet suggested not noticed much of a difference but i suppose it takes a while but at a cheap price once ure insurance wont pay for liverpool cream its easy enough but my boys have shrunk a little bit

For the 200c tablets I use one tablet twice a week, thuja cream apply daily. I believe it is the 30c tablets that you give daily.

The vet has photographed the growths and emailed them to Liverpool, but I wanted to try the Thuja for a while before opting for the Liverpool cream. Be nice not to have to claim off the horse's insurance.

I am just concerned as an occult sarcoid developed this week, from no where. The vet only photographed them 10 days ago and this is a new one which has appeared whilst we're waiting to hear back about the cream. I want to get something into the horse's system that might help slow the development of any more.

Anyone know if Thuja can be used as a prophylactic?

I've successfully used Thuja cream to treat sarcoids. TBH I rate the cream, not the homeopathic pills, but I guess they wont do any harm

. Just apply the cream twice a day. For the first week nothing much happens so you think

, but keep going and then the sarcoids start to soften and after about 2 or 3 weeks they just slough off.

It doesn't hurt or sting so they generally dont care about you applying the cream

I wouldn't use the cream if they are weeping/active though.

Your horse sounds like mine. Just after my mare's first cycle of treatment with the Liverpool Cream I noticed more sarcoids on her so took photos which my vet forwarded on to Prof K. After her 2nd cycle of treatment I noticed some of the first lot returning so she had a 3rd cycle which finished 2 weeks ago. Last week I spotted a new "sarcoid" on her face and was devasted to say the least. My husband checked the horses for me for the next couple of days and when I called up with my camera to take a pic of the sarcoid it had gone she must have rubbed it off leaving a small circle of pink flat skin. I'm claiming off my insurance but when my 12 months is up I'll certainly have to use homeopathic remedies instead. I haven't used a fly rug this year but will seriously consider getting her one. Which make does your horse normally wear as it obviously does the job when it's on?
