I saw him ride Utopia in the NIA recently. It was just beautiful and although he was a support appearance for the Vienna School, they were the highlight of the evening for me.
I didn't think he was, rather he was under court injunction until ownership has been sorted and Carl is therefore unable to compete him abroad and has decided that this is his last competition until things are sorted.
Quoted from Eurodressage.
Carl Hester will be competing his European and Olympic medal winning horse Uthopia for the last time in the 2012 CDI-W London Kur to Music tonight at the 2012 Olympia Horse Show in London on Tuesday 18 December 2012.
Legal issues concerning the ownership of Uthopia force Hester to stay home with the horse until it is sold. "Uthopia is not sold, just under the injunction (so) I can't compete abroad," Hester told Eurodressage. "(I want to take) no more risks and that's it until he's sold."
The 11-year old licensed stallion Uthopia (by Metall x Inspekteur) is owned by Sasha Stewart on paper, with Carl having a minor stake, but recent disputes with the bank revealed that the black stallion sold to an anonymous investor a few years ago.
Cluny....Carl himself has announced at Olympia tonight that Uti is sold and tonight is the last ride he will have.
Blueberry they hope to sell a stake in, and retain.
