Pretty much a what-colour-should-I-get ramble. Well, entirely that.
Like I've said before, Fin recently got a beautiful baroque hackamore. And it needs reins.
So far, my options are these reins from Spain: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/124...f=sr_gallery-1-1&sts=1&organic_search_click=1. They are not cheap and cost £30 to import. Blah. But they are gorgeous.
Or biothane reins from Orbitless, in blue, to match the blue padding on the bridle. Might look cool, might look super weird, but either way, I'd get even less respect from traditional British horse trainers than I do now, but since I'm already a bitless, shoeless, treeless hippy with weird tack, said respect is at more or less zero anyway. They are cheaper than the Spanish ones and made here, so the shipping fees are not exorbatant. https://www.orbitlessbridle.co.uk/ourshop/prod_6066835-BioThane-Reins.html.
Just sucks that there are so few options. This country is a frustrating place if you like zany, blingy tack.
