Hi,

Help please- we have a twenty-eight year old pony who suffers from uveitis. He has face masks which are fine on him but our three youngsters keep pulling them off. One has now been completely destroyed. Does anyone know if the Guardian mask is secure enough to withstand the constant attention of three very boisterous 1 and 2 year olds. The old pony doesn't help as he hates wearing masks and stands while the youngsters pull them off.

Any help or advice as to how to stop this happening would be greatly appreciated. Given that he is an elderly man now I dont really want to put him through an operation and wearing a mask is his best bet.

Thanks

Heard good things about them and they look pretty robust but 2 determined youngsters would probably trash anything. Can't you electric fence off a bit of the main field so the veteran can see the youngsters but not be harassed by them?

Wouldn't be without mine! I've had these for the past 12 years and they've kept my boy's eyes from getting worse, other masks dont block the UV rays like the guardian. I used to have to buy direct from the US but have bought the last 2 from a lady who sells them from Cornwall. Mine last on average 4 years, great for throwing in the washing machine defo worth the money! Hope you're sorted anyway, if not dont hesitate to buy - pretty robust and well fitted. If you send your horses measurements, they'll tell you what size as well!

I have a large size one spare as it turned out to be too thick for the partially sighted pony to see through. The equilibrium fly masks are very good at cutting out the uv rays and we use those on our pony with uveitis.
