Uvitis - genetic?

If mum has uvitis, is it likely the her offspring will develop this too? Does anyone know? Just wondering whether there is a genetic link.

Have no idea in horses but i get recurrebt iriris (sat here now with it :'() and no on else in tge familly has it.

im pretty sure i remember some research saying that there is a genetic link in appaloosas, not sure otherwise though

Yes, I'd read about the Appy genetic link too but I did then think that genetics might play a part with it in other breeds possibly?
