V-bandz lies about being BETA member

The only thing that matters to me in all of this, is that drivers can see me on the road. I have a bright pink flourescent wrap over and band for my riding hat, along with wrap rounds for my horses legs. It's being seen that saves you from being knocked down, not the make or brand.

Correct as in the documentary makers were correct in what they reported.

I watched the documentary when it was first was shown and as my memory recalls I think it was the reflective strips on their jackets were not to the standard that the labels shown inside said they were.

I expect Equisafety just adjusted the materials they used. Without googling I couldn't tell you and tbh I don't care enough to do that!

Galaxy iirc I found it a slightly bizarre situation because the problem with the tabard was that there was insufficient fluorescent material for a tabard - due to the big black bit saying polite on it- which was the reason people were buying it anyway!

What difference does it make ? if you liked it enough to buy it then whats the problem

Personally, I have some V-Bandz stuff but not with chequers on, and have steered away from the POLITE range for one reason, I'm not sure I'd want someone to think I was police as with police horses they are more or less bombproof and some joker might think it funny to chuck a fire work ro something equally stupid at my horse who is not bombproof, so I dont' want people to think I am police thanks.

I do have the equisafety exercise sheet but its pink (and not the polite range its old style one) so I don't think anyone will think I'm a copper in a pink one lol

And??? Unless I'm missing something (apart from the obvious marketing from a rather irritated competitor company) then being a member of BETA has no effect on the products they are selling. The products are licenced/approved by BETA, unlike another competitor....

nothing like a little comedy thread to make you chuckle...

all my hi-viz gear is from my work so vest and jacket that are acceptable on demolition sites. Much much cheaper than horsey branded hi-viz which always wins my vote!
