Ok here goes got a new dentist out about 10 months ago as rose was due to be done and I was having some problems with her but was struggling to get in touch with usual dentist. Now this dentist came recomended and he seemed nice did horse n off he went. Afterwards I was still having problems but though shed got into some bad habits so I gave her some time but things just got worse so got him back he had a look and said "there's nothing wrong with the horse it's you just put a flash on it and ride her through it" ok did as he said things got soo bad I hated riding her if fact just looking at her started to p**s me off. People were telling me it was me and to just get over it. Yesterday we had a diffrent dentist on the yard to do some work and I got him to look at her and guess what..... she was in dire need of some work doing the dentist showed me the problem, deep ridges in all her back teeth had caused her teeth to lock together like teeth on a cog causing a lot of pain when asking her to work in a contact. So he sorted her out and today from the second I sat on her she was like the old rose , responsive soft willing and an absolute dream to ride I'm sooooo happy and I got to say I told you so to all those ppl who said it was me lol

Yep best feeling in world lol do feel a bit guilty tho I rode for ages in a dr cook but wanted to do dressage with her so had to have her in a bit . Would definatly recomend the dentist that came yesterday was great with the horses and did hand rasps and power tools which was amazing to watch

I had the same experience, poor Melly had ulcers and a nasty wolf tooth that had to be taken out, everyone told me it was her taking the micky, but I knew it wasnt. So glad your girl is ok now!
