Vaccination question

My puppies have had their first vaccination. Can they come to the yard with me and go in my stable (obviously without the horse in there!)?? I don't want to take them and them get ill. They wouldn't be allowed to mix with any other dogs.

I personally wouldn't take them anywhere away from home until at least a week after their final jab, just to be on the safe side as they are so prone to picking up bugs just by walking where other dogs go, they don't need to be in contact with them.

I have always taken mine! My vet told me not to let the dogs mix with unvaccinated dogs, and not to go to parks etc where a lot of dogs will have been, but up at the yard, provided the other dogs are vaccinated, you should be fine.

The breeder who bred 2 of mine always says that the first few weeks when you get them home is the most important time for socialising, so it is a shame to keep them locked up indoors for 4/5 weeks.

I suppose it is a 'risk' in the same way that anything is.....

So if I carry them from the car to the stable and vice versa where no other dogs have been they should be fine...??
