Some of you may/maynot know that i rescued a JRT from the RSPCA last week. Hes about 6 months old.
Anyway i have just dug out his vaccination card they gave me with him and its his orginal one that must have gone with him when he was handed in or whatever. I have looked at the dates and he had his first vacc on:
10/11/08
second vacc 22/12/08
so this would then make him due for his booster 12/09 as noted on the card but for some reason the RSPCA have vaccinated him again on the 1/2/09.
Not sure why they would have done this but could this have made him feel poorly? He was really off colour for a few days and was hardly eating in there and has only really eaten here in the last 2 days (chicken and rice) hes pretty thin due to this but he was just sleeping loads and not acting like any normal JRT pup!
I think they have probably made another boo boo in that they have left the sticker with his 'old' owners name and address in the vacc card!
Any views on this?

these dates dont tie in, the first and second vaccs should be 2weeks apart, in some cases 3 weeks apart so there is no way the first and second dates are the same course of innoculation. is the first one a parvo jab or something? and the next 2 the combined vaccs?

the info i have on the card is just the names of the vaccines used and i think its mostly just the 'brand' but they are:
first one: DHPPI and Lepto
Second one: Novibac Lepto 2 and Novibac DHPPi. i think he had the kennel cough one at this point too as its also novibac KC
Third one: Vanguard CPV-L and vangaurd DA2Pi

Guess i might have to phone my vets to find out.....

sorry didnt see the second vanguard jab, thats a distemper vacc on its own. no idea y they hav done these wen he already has had the DHPPi which covers both, but must have their reasons!
