Vale Stables Limited

Resurrecting a very old thread here! I wonder if the OP ever had a reply to the delivery times question? I am enduring a build from Vale Stables at the moment and would like to know if anyone has found a way to communicate with them effectively? I was full of excitement at the prospect of being able to bring my horses home but I am losing the will to live now and wondering if I might just be better off finishing the job myself. :'(

The project finally got finished weeks late, delivery arrived with bits missing and I mean entire panels, and also fixing brackets. Nightmare to sort out.

I'm relieved to find that I'm not the only one having problems with them - although of course I'm sorry that others have had to suffer them. I am getting to the point where I'm considering to pay them to go away - but of course one of the problems is that they're never here! I'm going to have a chat with trading standards.

I would strongly advise against using Vale.
I ordered a 12ft x 30ft tack room/field shelter with Vale back in August and ended up cancelling the order after 12 weeks waiting for it. They said 2-3 weeks for delivery and installation and by the end of September I had been informed that my livery yard was closing beginning of November so rung to find out about when it would be delivered guaranteed delivery by mid November. I looked at this point of cancelling my order as I needed it before then but no other company due to Covid could guarantee it any quicker so stayed with them. I was able to persuade the yard owner to let me stay another 2 weeks so it worked out just about. I was then given a delivery date for 4 weeks time for the third week of November but they cancelled two days before it was due, citing staff and material shortages for the past 6 weeks. During that time I had checked several times we were still on track for delivery on the day arranged as I couldn't delay it any longer due to the livery yard shutting down and they didn't once mention any issues but said it was all on track.

Having again said to them I had nowhere to stable my horses from 3 days times could they please try and sort something out as they had known about the deadline for nearly two months and they offered to deliver the stable the following day but said they would not be able to assemble it and made no promises as to when during the day it would be delivered. I looked into finding someone to build it but quotes were going to be leaving me over £400 short changed and Vale refused to made up the difference. If I opted to wait and have Vale build it they said they would try deliver it the following week but wouldn't give a day and said it would depend on staffing. At this point I didn't really believe them that they would deliver it as promised and my partner had had enough of the awful communication and uncertainty so cancelled the order. We've managed to find another livery yard at short notice to take the horses for 2 months whilst we order through another company who have already given us a delivery date for January.

thank you so much for your detailed reply. I am so sorry you have had so much hassle. We did take heed of the warnings and have gone for Hal Cooper at TJC Agricultural who has bent over backwards to supply to our requirements and the stables are all up and functioning already... Highly recommend!

Very disappointed and upset by Vale Stables. The order was poorly made along with receiving the wrong ordered parts. Promised correct parts, however, Vale thought it funny to leave us waiting all day for the delivery of the replacement/outstanding parts, despite chasing and promises of calls back that never happened. We finally received an email at 5 pm on the dot, saying it won't be delivered today, with no promise of ever delivering. Avoid this company, the ladies, who answer the phone are instructed to mislead customers by the manager Martin, especially as other reviews say, once they've got your money they don't care and stop communicating. As they only accept BAC’s we’ll have to use the small claims court procedures to either get a refund or our goods.

I used County equestrian. They were really good. I did look at vale stables but didnt get a good feeling from them.
Thank you. We had our stable block from Passmores in 2017 who were excellent from beginning to end. We decided this year to partition of the barn to create another stable and unfortunately Passmores do not sell internal partions, hence we went to Vale Stables, what a mistake :(
Thank goodness it is only a partition DIY fit but concerned for all those who will have spent considerably more and are being messed around by Vale’s poor quality and poor service.
