Poor Phantom looked shattered bless her.
I had to wrestle the phone from my daughter, she was all set to phone you when she didn't see anyone there!
Hope both mare and foal are fit and well.
Please do ring if you ever see them down and foaling and no one is there - I'd rather be rung 10 times and get to see the birth and be on hand if something goes wrong, than miss it all...
Oh, he is smashing, what a super colour, I have to say that I absolutely love his mum too, she did a good job for a maiden didn't she? An arab of mine once foaled down a week early in a field and was so horrified at her first foal that it took us two hours to catch her (in the dark) and she had to be sedated for days before she could be trusted not to try to kill her baby
awwww just switched on this morning and YAY!! he's arrived... my 7 year old wanted to stay up last night, but had to send him to bed..Glad it all went well, ahhh he was having a little canter around the stable a few mins ago,
So Rollestone, is he the colour you were hoping for? just curious.. i dont know much about breeding and colours...
congratulations!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe i missed it again and by such a short time lay till about 3am watching night before then switched off at midnight last night
then it all happened.........gutted or what!!!! next one I will NOT miss!!!!
aww she got up for 2 mins he had a go for brekkie then she went back down again! this has made him very angry and he's been prancing around the stable investigating ever since - I love this! thanks for sharing your lovely foal with everyone!
Colour wise I was hoping for a palomino or a buckskin - although there was a very small chance of a smoky black so was hoping we'd avoid that, but s long as baby was healthy that's my main concern!
what a big... gorgeous foal,i missed it again but at least he is up and what looks like to me anyway very healthy.
you have certainly had some stunners this year.
