Hello lovely people.

I have a lovely jacket - a kentucky one. Is kentucky made by pikeur? I'm not sure. Anyway, it looks just like my pikeur one. New they are nearly £200, but I have had it a year and it has been worn a handful of times (maybe 2?). I was going to put it on ebay but the prices on there are crazy low and I dont want it going for £10!!!! Basically, it is far too small for me now (it's a 10) and with the best will in the world, I am not going to fit into it again. How much should I be asking for it? and where is the best place to sell these things? I also have a few saddles, where is good to sell these too?

Sorry - just stumped for ideas as ebay is my usual haunt and the prices on there ATM are too low.

Sound lovely!!
The problem you have is Ebay! If you really want to sell it, that maybe the best place. How do you want for it? Really and truly you should expect about 1/3 of what it was brand new (if its in that good a condition) so about £60.
If it was me I would out ads in local tack shops, and if you want to go down the Ebay route, then start it at £20 and go from there. You could always put a reserve on it!

Yes, I think that I will stick a little ad in the tack shops - £60 would be aaobut the right price you think? I think I'd be happy with that ... shame really, because I like the convienience of ebay - esp as I like next to a post office! But after I had a lovely barnsby dressage saddle sell for under £100 I'm disenclined to use it to sell higher value stuff... I know I should have reserved it, but I guess i (naievely) thought that is would go for its market value.... :-(

if you put it on ebay you can put a reserve price on it (so of £60) and then even if people bid on it for lower it wont get sold?

It depends on colour, make and material.

Showing bods will pay alot for a 100% wool tweed or navy jacket. Perticularly of well known brands. Alexander James, Pretty ponies, Mrs Candy and Showing selection jackets tend to make around £100 on ebay.
Bernard weatherill can make £150 - £200 depending on size.

If it is not tweed or navy or not 100% wool then £60 is what a quality jacket will tend to sell for on ebay
