we have been offered a second hand IFOR williams trailer, its about six years old and in pretty good condition, got a few of the pins missing which we could replace, we have a few queries,
firstly we have been offered it by a friend who said to look on the internet for market value and offer him a price (he is minted so although money isnt an issue to him I dont want to rip him off!)
also secondly, we only have a 12.2hh pony and this trailer is one of the larger ones, although Harry has travelled in it before It is a little large!
do you think i need to look for something smaller? and what do you think it is worth in current market?
thanks in advance!

I bought an ifor williams 505, i think about 11 years old, for £1700 about 8 months ago to give you a rough idea. Ifor williams dont tend to loose value.

Just bought a 10 yo 510 for £2000 got a good deal with the double bars thrown in too.

Just cause the seller 'is minted' doesn't mean he deserves less for it. These ifors sell quickly if other hear its on the market they'll be calling him up. The ifors don't lose money as long as they are well kept especially the 510's as they are rarer -so are a pretty safe purchase economically.

thank you, thats exactly why I put in my original post that I didnt want to rip him off by giving him a stupid offer, basically the trailer is ours if we want it and he wont advertise it until we have decided,

All depends on what model the trailer is... 505 or 510? I sold my 6 year old 510 in very good condition earlier this year and got £3100 for it in Buckinghamshire. Prices vary depending on region too - everything up North is cheaper, as always! The 510 is a much rarer model, the 505 is more common and therefore holds less value.

its the one for big horses which is the 510? (I think)

All the 510's on my yard in Buckinghamshire have gone for around £3000 give or take £100 depending on condition, bodywork scratches etc. Think all three of them were about 5/6 years old.

I bought a 7yr old Ifor Williams 505R last October for £2300 - admittedly got a good price as it was from a friend who wanted it to go to a good home - it was immaculate throughout and had only been used a handful of times - I travel a 17.2 DWb and sometimes a 16.1 DWb as well.
