My day for posting today.

What would other HHo's recommend?

1. Must be as fuel efficient as poss
2. Must be able to pull a trailer
3. Must be high from ground (area prone to flooding)
4. Must be relatively good purchase price

Does such a vehicle exist?

Yeah our Landy...

200tdi disco with a lift kit. Got from ebay. 35mpg, 1100 quid (once i'd done a bit of work on it) and pulls, well it's a landy :)

Search for "discovery 200tdi" on ebay and you'll find loads.

Don't write off the ones that have been modded. Some of those green laners are the best looked after discos on the market.

I'm really happy with my mitsubishi L200 warrior. I have comfortably towed my big fat heifer plus another solid little cob with it, including a couple of slightly unplanned braking incidents, and it was great. I don't think it's thirsty, and I paid £7k for it (it's a '54 reg).

Edited to say - it's a complete mare to turn/park though, it's like trying to manoeuvre an ocean liner!
