Vaulting?

Hi,

How can i get my pony to run along side me when i vault?He just digs in his heels or spins round!he is not scared, he doesn't mind when i jump on, and he is not in pain. What would you reccomend?

If you have someone who can lunge him whilst you are vaulting then try vaulting on the lunge for a while to get him used to what is expected of him. If he is turning away from you when you go to vault then make sure you are next to a hedge or a fence when you are vaulting to keep him going straight.

Is this for pony club games? Its probably best to do it when there are a bunch of other ponies all going the same direction at speed

it is for pony club games But the problem is, he goes snail speed, and then, when my legs on the other side, he goes full pelt!Have to get it right before area games on Sunday!
