Here is our new VDL Arkansas colt born May 1st. He is a really big boy and we are just delighted with him! We are also very excited to have such a lovely foal by that super producing stallion.

He is out of our Supreme Leader/Deep Run mare who placed pt-to-pt. She is scheduled to be bred to Lancelot (Voltaire/Nimmerdor) this coming season. The chestnut we admit was a surprise as we didn't think his dam would throw one, but given her damsire was chestnut I probably should have known better!

He is a lovely colt.It is amazing he gets them so pretty especially as he has not got the best head in the world but he is seriously producing the goods.I am surprised you are not going to use him again? We have had three by him one of which qualified for the World Championships and another is winning classes in America. We have kept their full sister.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Ballyshan, we would be delighted to use him again and will certainly have him on the list for the future. I have seen the video on YouTube of B. Versace and he's very, very nice and I was wondering where in the he is US? He's a fancy US-type hunter and I would expect him to do well. I'm thinking he could be the only Arkansas in the States (I don't know of another if there is one...)? Would love to see video on B. Arkansas if you have it! We are using Lancelot this year as we have a return credit we need use to him from a mare that missed to him last season (--no longer have the mare).
