Just been to see a Trailer, and so long as i can find the farmer to open the field to get it out, its mine..
so i need to fix it up (i have people who know how lol ) Ill paint pretty horses on it that will be my job haha
best place to get electric relays??

anyway i have a 1.6 petrol vectra will it pull a trailer with a Fell and mini shetty in. Or am i best trying to get something a bit beefier.

NO point in saying get a 4x4, i cant afford it lol.

What make is the trailer? Most aluminium trailers weigh around 600-700kgs but if an old trailer then will be much heavier. Its unlikely it would be legal or sensible to tow with a Vectra. I'm afraid either a big Volvo estate or MPV would be better but I'm sure there is someone on here than can tel you for sure

OP I would recommend reposting your question in the towing clinic section of the forum where ROG fount of all towing knowledge will likely give you the chapter and verse on what the vectra can or cannot tow. It is under the competition section of the forum - it is a sticky topic so is always near the top under that section.

Hope this helps, NB ROG will need to know things like model specifics, year, fuel etc.

I await you with the required info - link to the HHO TOWING CLINIC in my signature below

Will also need to know what licence you have - B or B+E ?

I have towed a trailer with two tbs in behind a Vectra. Naughty I know, but it was a desperate situation and I didn't have to go far or use any fast roads. I didn't have any real problems but I certainly wouldn't want to do it again! Downhill was a wee bit interesting to say the least.

You need the right tool for the job when towing or it's a false economy. You will wear your car out fairly quickly! Our towcar isn't huge, it's legal to tow but it struggles a bit. We've already had to replace the clutch and the gearbox. I've only used it to tow about a dozen times and most of that was when we moved house. It's just not man enough- if I was towing regularly, I'd get a decent 4x4.

Yes - until the clutch burns out......get something decent the 1.6ltr in the Vectra was a totally gutless engine too. I'd get a big volvo estate if you want to tow with a car.
