Today, I had a go at making my own Velvet Browband...

What do you think, firstly? Don't ask why I did it, was just in the moment, and actually enjoyed making it. It's gotten me thinking, lets say *IF* I was to make more and sell on, would people be interested? (I am being serious about this, but would love some comments please?)

I bought one on eBay for £13 - it's lovely handmade, rossettes, and sparkles. I do think they sell well for children and showing but not sure if they will make you rich.

I would just like it to be a hobby, when I have free time as I am going into College next week. :o

(Thank you for your messages!)

It's really lovely! I've seen some before that have been a bit skewiff or skinny, but yours are made of lovely fat triangles! You could always list on Etsy if you wanted a little business set up? It's like eBay, but for handmade items. They do take a cut, but I don't it's too different from what eBay take now anyway :)

When I made the browbands for the ponies I would use the nylon that leg straps are made from. I would just double it over so it was the correct width. This meant that it could all be washed without any stains or ruining the leather.

Once you have the knack it is easy to use three or four different colours.

Sounds like a good idea, might have to try that sometime.

Thank you mister-merlin! Wouldn't have found Etsy otherwise!
