Hello all,

Okay, I am after a new riding hat, but I don't want anything which isn't a proper velvet hat
What's out there? Charles Owen hats are a strange fit on me, I have a large head, and it makes hat fitting a pain in the bum
I've tried on a Patey PROtector, and my god, it was gorgeous, but the price tag is £495..... SO... Probably not. But it fit - Internal war going on.

Then, I want a new bridle for my Arab mare, and because her head is soo fine and pretty, I want a rolled leather one.
I've been looking at the English Bridles 'EB Rolled bride' which is £95... I know their leather, I love their leather, and the whole thing is rolled, none of this massive noseband with patent crap.
If you had to buy a new velvet hat, and a new rolled leather bridle, what would you choose and why?

Cheers guys :)
[For the sake of this post, I don't care how much something costs... Except the Patey lol]

Awful to say, but my last new hat was a Caldene, and I've had that for 6 years now [I know, I know] and it's always given me a bit of a headache if I'm in it for more than 2 hours
Before that, it was a Charles Owen, but have no idea what make
Before that, a skull cap owned by my mother when she was a kid - a proper old school one with a chin guard
My mum has a Fiona, and it's completely the wrong shape for me, it's too 'round' if that makes sense?
