My mare seems to quite like the Professional's Choice Ventech girth. At the moment I have a dressage girth which I hate so plan to exchange the saddle straps for short ones and get a long girth. I don't like elasticated ends on girths - the dressage Ventech seems okay because the elastic is so short it's barely noticeable but I tried a long Ventech and the elastic made it very hard to tell how tight the girth was. The only one they seem to do without elastic is the 'equalizer' which is a humane girth and I'm not sure about those in terms of both buckles being attached to the same strap. Has anyone tried one (or other humane girths?) Is there anything out there similar to the Ventech but without the elastic ends?
