I have a OTTB who after a lot of retraining i have recently started showjumping with. At the moment he is wearing airflow bandages but his legs are hot and sweaty after being taken off. I reallly dont like this and im a bit obsessive about legs and tendons. xD
As im moving up from 2'-2'3" up to 2'6"-2'9" and he usually does two classes (he mostly goes clear so two rounds and two jumpoffs) and a few clearounds for warm up he is going to be working a bit harder and am saving up for a new set of boots which will offer all round protection but without overheating his tendons and they have to be lightweight, no point lugging extra unneeded weight and making those legs work that much harder.

But i prefer actual personal opinions rather than the info off the company as they are selling the things lol

Do you use either of these? if so how do you find them in every aspect?

Premier Equine Superlite Air Cooled Event Boots

To me these look like they offer a lot of protection and ventilation and love the fact the hind boots extend up so much but still look heavy to me...

Trizone All Sport Boot

Great ventilation and look light but i dont like the fact that they dont have front and hind boots, if i bought a set of four, his hind legs would have the extra protection running down the back rather than the cannon bone?

Any other boots which match my wants, their information is greatly recieved, as is any opinions you can give me :D
Thank you

Hi I have trizone airlite tendon boots and fetlock boots. They are great, protective, light, good fit (on an Anglo) and airy and legs are fine. As he events, I also have recently bought some White Ice(?) cooling gel, rather than clay - as its sooooo messy. It is brilliant. After washing legs, put a small amount on and this really chills his legs down and no need to bandage as with clay. I dont usually use when Ive just been SJ, but if your worried its worth a shot. It doesnt have isopropanol in like a lot of gels, this can cause the skin the dry out.
