I won a pack of Verm-X which arrived today and on reading the box I cant work out if it is actually a wormer or not? It looks as though its totally herbal therefore perhaps can't officially say its a wormed but does talk of worm counts etc.

"As well as herbs to control intestinal challenges there are herbs in Verm-X for blood cleansing and others for gut maintenance. The herbs included in Verm-X have been carefully blended together to work synergistically with each other. We are also always receiving reports from horse owners that their horses look extremely well following a course of Verm-X."

So, no, it is not a wormer

They used to describe it as a wormer, no longer allowed to.

A word of warning, it is not unknown for them to contact people directly who speak against the product.

be careful about what you say here.

nope! wouldn't go within a barge pole of mine :p.

It would be very easy to see if it works though, FEC, feed it, FEC a week or so after...

I'd suggest the friend probably has other things in place to minimise worm burden and/or a mid aged horse that wouldn't have much going on under normal circumstances anyway.
