Hi,
My horse has seemed to have developed a big vertical crack down the middle of one her pasterns. At first we though it was mud fever, but it doesn't fit the typical image of mud fever. Saturday she was fine and yesterday there it was. But it's doesn't look fresh or open. It seems to have already closed up (looks a bit like a big cut that's been stitched up on a human). She was out in the field on Monday but there is nothing there I can imagine her cutting herself like that on, or in her box.
Anyone seen/heard of this before? As I said it's a straight crack/cut down the middle of her pastern on her right back leg.
Thanks
Sam
