Hello

I have got itchy feet having not been anywhere for a while...

I am looking for someone who would either like more diesel money in their transport, or to share transport to go to shows.

Same level preferred - jumping BSJA BN/DISC, I would also like to do some local ODE's, xc schooling, whatever really.

My horse travels like a lamb, loads himself, and is fully insured.

Owing to the government, I cannot drive a lorry, and cant afford to take the test (it is nearly £2.5k!!!!)

Anyway, it is more fun with others!

I am in Surrey, just near junction 8 (near Epsom)

Noone at my yard competes and he only fits in two of the trailers!

Will pay and groom!

I'd love you - but in Gloucestershire!

I've even gone to the lengths of sticking an advert up for BSJA help, as despite being 28, my parents don't like me competeing if I go alone.

Derbyshire/Staffordshire border. Bit far away for you!

I am lucky and have a 14 yr old nextdoor neighbour who i am training up, if you are ever at same competitions as us and need a hand i could rent her out to you = would that be legal?!?!

or if she's not with us and i'm about i'm always willing to give a hand??

Child labour... Exploitation... Glad to hear it!

What hourly rate do you sub your staff out for?

I might take you up on that, especially if Charlie decides he does not want me to mount him (frequent occurence), or has decided that on the whole, he really does not feel like getting on the lorry. Can I bribe you with coffee and/or cake?

I am lucky and always have mum with me too helping me out so you are more than wlecome to call upon me and/or any of my 'helpers' to give you a hand with whatever Charlie is being naughty about!! i don't need much bribing but Tea and cake is a very good idea.... we'll have to swop 'show diarys' to see which comps you'll need to take extra cake to!

Amy is mucking out for me today, well she did ask if she could and i'm def not going to stop her!!!

Hope we're on the same day!! Amy's getting quite good at certain things now and its great as gives my mum a break from running round and gives me someone to talk to while i ride/clean gear etc.... she's wants to bath mini Maysie this wkend - i must take photos!!!
(v excited about stafford lets pray for good ground)

The only downside to taking a 14 year old competing is that they cannot drive you home if you are injured from a fall.

Wish I could talk my mother into coming with me - I am always jealous of the snotty teenage girls who have their mums running round and cannot understand why they are so rude to them.

very true.... i can't drive me either though hence mum being there she has to drive horse box..... don't class my self as snotty teenage (27!) but unfortunately due to nerves i sometimes verge on rudeness and get snappy but this is stress and always apologise to mum on the way there if it loose it!!! she is very good and usually ignores me or gives me the 'look' - i know i've stepped over the mark!!
I am going to take my test - one day - but would never want to go competing on my own!

I can actually bake cakes. How does coffee spomge sound?

I will let you know about shows as I have not planned anything past 15 Sept (1st ODE) so far.

Have you tried the trick that a certain riding school owner I know uses of badging "mucking out her horses and cleaning her tack" as a "stable management course" and charging the parents? Might be worth a try ;-)

One of the advantages of being more "experienced" than you is that can drive the lorry myself. I had a go at teaching 1 of my friends to drive it (as she wants to come out with me sometimes in it and I wanted her to be able to in case I got injured), and we narrowly avoided leaving pieces of the "Green Goddess" on the narrow bridge near Sudbury and on the 1st roundabout coming in to Draycott...

I am on holiday soon, so the GG is getting some pimping!
