Hi all,
I've been going through the latest H&H classifieds (as I do every week wishing I could buy a nice horsey, sigh), and have been struck by the amount of what seem to be very cheap nags in there! The seem to range from PtoPers to normal riding horses (with only one giving the reason of 'grumpy' for the price), with a few just backed youngsters (with thoroughbreds being top of the 'cheapo' list). I'm just wondering why people think this is - credit crunch, or just people flogging bad horses, or lack of demand for thoroughbreds/ex racers, or underlying problems...? Also, has anyone bought a 'bargain' who has turned out brilliant? Basically - is it ever worth the risk...? Bearing in mind that I am sorely tempted by the £2000 rearer on horsequest.com, so my judgement is probably not very good...
