Very Greasy Coat

I've got a TB filly with a very greasy coat, I mean really excessivly greasy. Apart from this she appears to be in good health and is getting a balanced diet.

Can this be an indicator/ symptom of any other conditions illness etc

Is she just plain dirty??

Have you tried a really good bath?? If she's growing out in the field, not getting regular grooming etc then she will be greasy anyway.

My horse gets a very greasy coat in the spring and autumn when he is sheading his coat. Could be the case here. I was worried at first, but know it is normal for him.
