I posted a few days ago about having him freezedmarked 1 week ago, it was hot and he got very upset if went near it. Today he is still very unhappy with it he is usually a very happy pony and loves his cuddles, but he put his ears flat back and practically growled at me. It is still hot and as not scabbed up yet info i had off farmkey is you can ride them at around a week . So why is he so sore has anyone else had this problem with their freezemarks when they were done as he really is unhappy about you going near it ?

Oh poor shetty - he must be very sensitive. Archie was freezemarked about a month ago and he showed no signs of discomfort whatsoever. He had to have a bald mark as it was done on his white shoulder.

I hope he is feeling better soon.

Took my young mare nearly a month, she has very senstive skin, very hot for awhile and sore. but I must admit she was a nightmare to do, which took me by surprise as normally she's very good until I try to lead her(sets her neck) or when the Farrier comes, which pisses me off as she's as good as gold when I do her feet.

Thanks for your advice, poor shettie as never put a foot wrong in 5 and a half years lets babies lead him around and ride him. He is blind in one eye from previous neglect and is the most perfect companion he does not winnie when they go out he just waits by the gate for is friend to return. I had him freezemarked because of recent thefts in my area i could not bare it if anyone stole him. He knows all my secrets as he just stands there looking at you while you chat away.
