I really love the one of his head but does the envelope ruin it?

I like the first and second.

Any decent photographer will be well seasoned with photoshop, and able to edit the envelope out.
I bought a pic last year, and the guy got ride of all the dressage boards in the background for me!!

Get the envelope taken out, it even offers an air brushing fee in the list of options.
