After some interesting herd politics at the yard involving my gelding Chico returning to the herd after several months box rest it reminded me of a documentary i watched a year or so ago about wild mustangs.

I searched for the video and having found it have just sat and watched it a second time and thought i would share it with you all.

It is very interesting watching horses display natural wild behaviour and thinking how you see glimpse of it in domesticated horses.

Enjoy

Fantastic film thanks for sharing. Have to admit couldn't watch the bit when the foal was killed though although most certainly for the best.

We take all that natural balance pace and beauty , back them break them and they loose that natural pace, the way their muscles and backs work they never get it back once that saddle has been on.

wow amazing....the foal was so sad, i had to turn away, i know it was for the best but just so aggressive :(

I only planned on watching a couple of mins of it and got fixed and watched the whole thing
