My little border collie (21 months old) has become very itchy to the point where i need to hoover up fur every day. She is sort of mid coat length, not one of the really shaggy ones.
At first i thought it must be the warmer weather and thicker coat but I took her the vet today to get her checked and although she had no fleas they said she may be allergic to flea bites (I have 2 cats as well) but she has stronghold spot on regularly.
She is fed Burns lamb and rice as she can suffer with diarrhoea and these is the food she tolerates best.
For a number of reasons i cannot do raw meat but wondered if anyone else has had an itchy dog, or a problem with Burns?
The vet has given her piriton and told me to spray flea spray thoughout the house...
thanks
