Very mild for November

We've had the grey gloomy mist too.

Isn't it lovely not to be dealing with endless rain and mud though!

I wonder if we might get a beast from the east type of event in January/February. If I remember correctly the November and December before beast from the east was also unseasonably mild.

We've had the grey, misty gloom here in the west, and it has been calm until tonight when the wind has decided to pick up! It is nice compared to last year, when it was already knee deep mud and endless rain

It's so warm! I've been trying to get my 5 year old ex-racer in a 50g stable rug but he's so hot in it that I've now taken it off and he's naked again. He's not clipped and has a slight winter coat coming but I'm still slightly perplexed. All i seem to hear about is how TBs are nesh but he's got great weight and is very happy in his stable without his rug (and in a fly sheet in the field during the day). Is this normal for a good-doer TB? His temperature is fine so I don't think there's anything suspicious going on.....

I had to full clip my horse for the first time last weekend because on how bad my horse was sweating literally soaked like a racehorse . Normally only need a Irish clip as my horse barley sweats in cold weather but as bad as it sounds but I am glad I can finally full clip so I don’t have to deal with shading this year . Yeah my horse is still living out for awhile so we can all enjoy it well it lasts but the weather could turn awful like beast from the east is predicted for January and February so maybe calm before the storm hits.

I'm loving it. Had to take my jacket off poo picking tonight. My field is still good for schooling. The local hunt are even doing a pleasure ride this weekend which is unheard of after October.
We had a rubbish summer but it's pretty much the same temperature now!

My tb is in a no fill turnout at night, anything else and he's too hot even the couple of nights where it's dropped a bit so I wouldn't worry :)

My now retired tb is out 24/7 naked, and I'm not expecting him to wear more then a 50g at any point through the winter (unless we get a beast from the east)
Last winter when still on work he was fully clipped and didn't go above a 150g.
He's such a good doer he also had to wear a grazing muzzle much of the year.
