Very Nearly Our First Show (Pics)

well....... after all the questions about what to wear to the show... i got up at 5am today and we got our horses ready. they all looked fab, and we started the ride to the show.... only to find out it had been cancelled. we were gutted!! clearly we should have checked it was still on, duhhh! its such a shame though as the weather today has been beautiful here!

anyway i thought i would upload some pics so that all our hard work didnt go to waste haha.....!

Oh no! What a shame!
Ah well, never mind. I'm sure your horses appreciated the extra attention and grooming.
They all look lovely. Top marks to you all!
 
we were so gutted - they'd been bathed on the saturday and this morning we washed legs, brushed, and plaited them up! all that hard work..... and it ended up being just a normal hack! people must have thought we were crazy riding round like that hehe!

. i think he is stunning too ... but obviously not bias aaat all!!!! he definitely scrubs up well and just sits and falls asleep when he gets plaited up

Oh that's such a shame!!!

I've got my first one next weekend but we've got a 40 minute hack to it and it's all dependant on weather - I have a feeling I might end up in the same position as you - all dressed up and nowhere to go - fab piccies though!!
 
thats exactly what today was - should have been about a 40 min hack and we had already done over 20 minutes of it

Thanks - if it is cancelled I'll be going into our arena and having my own show - not going to all that effort for nothing!!!

haha thats what we did - we came back to the yard and made sure we took loads of photos!!!!

today would have been the best day for my first show - it was as still as ever and nice and hot! but cos we had all the crappy weather in the week they cancelled it so the showground didnt get churned i think!

what are you going to do at your show?
 
Well this is my first ever show so I'm taking the easy option and doing tack and turnout and riding horse - may try clear rounds if I'm feeling brave but Caspers jumping is, erm, rather interesting - although he's very enthusiastic!

What classes were you going to be entering?

This happened to me when we came home early when hunting, went for a hack looking posh lol.
