I'm 22, renting a cottage with my boyfriend but we are buying our first house at the moment...just a couple more weeks to go and it will be ours

!!!

I keep both of my monsters on DIY and pay for them out of my own wages - dont buy too many new clothes as a result and dont tend to go out for many drinks after work as I need to get home to do them, but I'm happy and wouldn't change any of it for the world!!

I'm 21. I said I live in rented accomadation, which my parents pay for, but then live with my parents during the holidays. Horses are kept at home which my parents pay for but when I am at home for the summer I will be helping. I know I am very likely to have such fantastic parents who let me have a horse - the horse is on loan. Dad also rides my horse when I am uni.

Look how many of us are 'living in sin'! Scandalous!! LOL;)

I think I am very lucky to own 1/4 of our house and keep a horse. My OH pays more into our mortgage/bills than me cos he earns more than me.

Now on assisted DIY at a friends yard (again, v.lucky) and she feeds/turns out in the mornings so I can keep up with my fitness before work (if I can be arsed to get out of bed!). Soon moving to work in London though for a lower salary than I am on now so money will be v. tight for me.

I think my sharer's husband is Danish actually, and he is horey too, doesn't ride now but can, and will. Actually no, maybe he is norweigan, come to think of it! My husband is actually South African, but it does seem like the imported ones are the most horse friendly! Lucky us I guess!!

I'm 40-50, own my own farm, own too many horses, horses are self-funding as they are part of my business. The only thing I sacrifice is time. I spend a lot of time with my horses. Being just outside the front door I can pop out inbetween posts, give them some loving and then pop back in to read on here again, LOL!!

Mine actually isn't horsey! Well... I lie, he doesnt ride and had zero interest in horses until we got together.

Now he pays for my training, bought my little horse and pays all my livery. He's also started taking a lot of interest in bloodlines, conformation, movement and things like that as he's started to talk about "when we get me a youngster".

I love him to bits. He supports me 100% so i can focus on my dressage

And whats more, he's polite, treats me like a princess, is a good cook and generally hot! (All the scandinavian men are lovely i found).

As for South African's.... they have wicked accents is all I can say so Im jealous in that sense

(Love foreign accents in men

I'm 28, single and live at home with mum. We have a horse each and pay for our own. I can't afford a mortgage in this area and my full livery bill is cheaper, so horses it is!!

28, live with boyfriend, own 1/3 the house, pay half bills and mortgage but he paid 1/3 as a deposit.
1 horse (well 14.3hh so technically he's a horse, more like a pony though), 1 rescue pony, kept on DIY paid for buy me.
2 cats, 1 of which is the yard cat, boyfriend pays half towards these, I add it onto our joint expenses which we divide equally, he earns three times as much though
