I have tried different websites and a google search but it is difficult as the title is missing
All I know is it is written sometime around 1901-1905 (approx) and is by L G Hawker.
A search for his name brings up things but not this book
In it says things like
'Of leaving horses to dry by evaporation
We cannot close this chapter without warning owners of horses against the common practice of idle servants leaving the horses after exercise in the moring to dry by evaporation, whilst they get their breakfasts and indulge in a pipe afterwards.'
This is an amazing book for seeing things as they were at the turn of the century.
