my poor boy.
the horse i had on loan had to have an emerg colic op at the weekend and has now got severe laminitis and is down.
just feel so helpless, waiting for news.
my poor friend that owns him lives over 2 hours away (he was refered)
went to see him last night- he is very bright and defo recognised me. spent 2 hours grooming and scratching him and they said i should take him for a 2min walk and munch as they are trying to get his bowels moving again, so he loved that. he is all the girls fav horse there.
poor man, hes refluxing...his little nose had yucky stuff coming out, his feet were already sore last night..
feel like i cant do anything its awful!
never had one with colic, god its dreadful. just feel so sorry for him.

Fingers, hooves and paws crossed for him and hugs for you

.

Is difficult as they need him to move for his colic but he shouldn't move becasue of his laminitis. When he is more settled and on the mend go to the The Laminits Clinic website - is brilliant and full of great advice which will help get his laminitis back under control and managable.

Good luck with him.

Hang on in there, and don't give up hope!! (((vibes))) coming your way!!

Laminitis Trust is the best place to start, lots of information to help get that under control, I agree with Slinky.

Hope he's better soon!

Is this your lovely coloured boy?

So sorry to hear he is so poorly, we have all of our fingers, paws and hooves crossed here that he makes a speedy recovery!!

Thinking of you at this worrying time!!

hi
no he isnt my horse.
i had him on loan a while back from a good friend.

feel like i cant do anything to support her, its awful..

i asked them about the laminitis but their main concern is getting his gut moving again.
it so horrid to see him so poorly.
his op site is all swollen and he was just so uncomfortable looking.
he loves his wander out though and had his little ears pricked the whole time and wanted to nose at the other horses stables- and look in a black bucket on the floor!

i gave my 3 girls extra cuddles last night and thanked my lucky stars that they are all ok...

More than hho (((((((((((vibes)))))))))))))) I think he needs a miracle

. Endotoxaemic laminitis is usually pretty unforgiving, but, he may well pull his sox up and make a good and uneventfull recovery! Im sending positive vibes anyway

, you never know. M.xxxxxxxx

Lots of good vibes on the way & loads of prayers too. Post-op laminitis was something that terrified me, so much so that the hospital fitted Jim with supports while he was still in surgery.

I really hope he comes right.
