ruth edge is out of olympic contention, the horse is injured. really sad to hear that as ruth is lovely and doesnt deserve the bad luck. and shaabrak has to prove fitness monday which will e even sadder if doessnt make it.
oh no, this is not good,,, poor ruth edge (n all competitors with dreams of getting selected, and doing just that, only to lose it due to really awful luck) how heart wrenching!!!
Oh god no! I was really really rooting for her as she deserves it so much. This is such bad luck. Keeping all fingers and toes crossed that we'll have no more horses injured please!
i believe they will be officially annoucing who is going after monday when they see how shabraak is as obviously they wont want the reserves galloping round barbury competitively now x
gosh, seems like everybodys horses are getting injured! so we may have tina and daisy on the team at this rate. would it get to the point where their horses are out too and we have to use the 2nd reserves?!?!
Jeez, we're not having much luck, are we? Mind you us Brits seem to do best when we're the underdogs, not that we will be with the likes of William and Mary in the team but surely our luck is due to change soon!
Saying that, I can't really think of better reserves to have than Tina or Daisy. Both deserve their chance. The GB team is very lucky to have such good reserves and a number of them.
Can anyone remember the second reserve list and who was on it?
I will do the decent thing and put myself forward for it - I came 4th in a mini one day event last year...the jumps were 1ft 6 - that should be ok dont you think?!?!
Dim question, but I missed that Ruth had been selected. What horse was injured - not Impala? I owned his dam, and have his cracking 1/2 sister at home - did I miss that?
