I just wanted to say, please don't ever take your horse for granted, they can be taken from you so suddenly. We lost a horse at the yard last night, he was only 12, no history of any illness. He was found having a severe seizure, done quite alot of damage to himself before the vet arrived and sedated him. Sadly, while waiting for the blood results from the vet, he passed away while his poor (teenage) owner looked on helplessly.

RIP Sparky, you were very much loved and will be sadly missed.

hey oh how sad, condolences to the owner.

-What you say is very true. Everybody love them and kiss them everday as you never know what the future has in store.x

RIP Sparky, poor owner, it's hard to lose a horse at any time of year and at any age (horse and owner) but for a teenager to witness losing her young horse at this time of year must have been awful for her, thoughts are with her.

my vet told me that i should treat each day and each ride with my horse as if it's the last time i see/ride him, i've been doing that and i am more settled when i leave him each night.

Sending my condolences to her. xx When this happens, no words seem to help - my heart is well and truly broken after my boy was taken just a few months back.

I have a little Sparky, this post was very chilling considering he's coming back off loan and I was really stressing about it. I guess I should be very thankful.

RIP Sparky xxxx
