Very sad Preloved ads.

Oh god :( poor girl.
I wish I could at least take the cats, but sadly my brother is horrifically allergic. Both me and my mum really want a cat, but can't :(

Oh if I was in the position then I would take the cats off her hands, how terribly sad. I really do hope that they find good homes :(

She wants money for them so she can't be that desperate?

If I was that worried about my cats I would not ask for a tenner each for them. I'd be begging for someone to take them...

If genuine, I will eat humble pie but I just can't see how any of this is not a hoax.

Bit of a no win situation, if you ask for money it's a hoax, if you don't ask for money you don't know if ther person taking the cat/pony is genuinely interested in it or looking to make money off it!!!

I would always ask for a token amount of money just so I knew the person actually wanted the animal and wasn't looking for a horse to sell etc, there are so many horror stories these days of dogs being given free to a good home, only to end up being used as bait dogs, horses being put out on loan only to be sold to the slaughter house.

Preloved has notices reminding it's users to not advertise small pets for free due to some nasty types using the site and doing unspeakable things to free animals obtained via the site. £10 per cat really just a token amount to try to ensure a genuine buyer/home.

Again with the ponies, she will accept less money.

Sadly I'm sure that this is a genuine situation (I recognise the grey from an earlier ad).

You have a piont naryafluffy... but there are people who could genuinely help but don't have any money and wouldn't be able to help if she wanted money.

You can't ever guarantee a good home for genuine sales these days never mind tragic pleas for help...

Oh I didn't know that. But how does £10 stop nasty people doing what they do?

I keep the fingers crossed for a happy outcome soon. Poor girl.

Preloved actually have a policy that says 'beware offering pets for free' so I imagine that's why.

Sadly there's plenty of folk who snap up cats from sites such as preloved, pets4homes etc and feed them to their snakes or have them set on by dogs
I'm thinking of this poor lass, and praying her animals get rehomed to someone lovely! :)

The orange and black cat looks Oriental and also a stunner of a Cat.. think he/she would be snapped up. If my Oh liked cats, i'd be on the phone now..
Feel sorry for the owner, loosing her home, and having to rehome all her pets, awful situation :(
And coincidentally, she probably needs the money to help find some where rented, as council won't be of much use..

A lot of rescues aswell as preloved suggest rehoming for a small fee to help discourage less than savoury characters who want pets for dog baiting or snake food :(

I have messaged her with details of some rescues local to her

They are beautiful cats and I don't like cats :D

Can't imagine ever giving my animals away .Poor girl.

Unfortunately I can't help with rehoming, but she says in the advert that one of the cats is a rescue, if that is from a rescue centre then I'm sure they'd take it back. I think most have this as a part of their rehoming policy if you are unable to keep them.

Terribly sad for animals and owner alike. :(
