Got such a fright yesterday.
I was having my lesson in the outdoor school. Just beside it there are 2 small schools for lunging, which are also used to let (1 horse in each) loose for a while. They are encircled by metal post-and-rail type fencing.
So two horses were turned out while I was riding. One just was happy to stand, the other messed around for a bit and then got down to roll.. and he rolled right into the fence and got cast.. it was awful, he was thrashing around trying to get his legs out of the fence, and all I could do was look on in horror. Thank goodness he managed to get himself out quickly. He was stuck probably for only ten seconds but it felt like forever. He was fine, shaken up, but fine.
Bloody horses! They cause so much stress!
