Rio is incredibly scurfy, he came from spain like it and obviously i didnt want to bath him as there was a 20 degree temperature difference when he arrived so it would have been mean of me!
but now every time i ride him or anything really he turns white
and obviously being a black horse it isnt a good look
no matter how much i brush him it keeps coming and he really does need a bath but i cant bring myself to do it as even with warm water he will get cold
so what can i do?
if its a question of feed then at the moment he is fed twice a day on ->
1 scoop of calm and condition
1 scoop of fast fibre
1 cup of topspec cool balencer
half a scoop of topchop lite (alfalfa, mint and straw)
Taz is probably exactly the same but because hes wishy washy chestnut i dont notice as much
its not his rugs either as he has all new rugs and hes currently wearing one that is only 3 days old
so any suggestions? or should i just bite the bullet and give him a bath? or would adding oil to his feed help his skin?
thank you!
