I had a lesson booked today. I hoped the rain would hold off.

Nope. I got drowned. We did Intro C 3 times in sheeting rain & high wind. I'm still cold thinking about it.

On the plus side, after one tiny grump, he settled down & got on with it.

Never been so glad to have a full change of clothes & packed lunch in the car.

Never underestimate the joy a dry pair of socks can bring!

Hehe: absolutely! I am these days the fairest of fair weather riders, but needs must and yesterday I rode two horses in sleet/rain. Neither they nor I enjoyed it much, but the sense of smug martyrdom will last me until Monday at least.

Much respect to you DM for your grit and determination! I was planning to do Intro C competition at my RS last Weds but have put off until it gets warmer. I really suffer when it's cold. Well done you!

As a friend of mine (who used to own a RS) always says, "You can only get wet to your skin!". She usually says it from the comfort of her kitchen.
I'm afraid I would have cancelled, I am definitely a fair weather rider, these days.
Well done, you, OP!
