I have a gel pad that I've had for several years but not used recently. I got it out and it is very sticky, washed it in soapy hot water and it is still very sticky. has anyone any experience of this and can I make it less sticky? I think if I use it as it is it might be uncomfortable for the horse. TIA.

Only ever use between saddle and numnah. Less grippy grip pads are okay for emergency/very short term use when you're waiting for the saddle fitter, or pony weight loss

Yes it's for short term use. Horse has put on a bit of weight and I'm getting a slight bit of movement. Saddler can't come until after Badminton but tbh I'd rather he lost the weight!
