Very stiff in all joints

I have a 17 year old Bay gelding,he has cushings and has now become very stiff on all his joints and feels very unbalanced,also very lethargic when I ride him,I am due to have him checked next week by the vet,has anybody had a problem like this?

I'd lay money on low grade lammi in his feet. Be very careful with cushings horses in the grass flush.
A vet check is probably on the cards, and maybe a bit of bute (speak to your vet sooner rather than later)

That interesting,I have been strip feeding and given him soaked hay twice a day,he also has healthy hoof and fast fibre in small quantities once a day.
Would the low grade lammi cause him to spasim while out riding?

sounds like he could be tying up (azoturia) if he's spasm'ing up while ridden. It's the muscles that stiffen not the actual joints themselves but it does require a vet asap as if left untreated can cause kidney failure.
