Hoping to do some BSJA with Flash in the near ish future, he has jumped juniors before but as I'm 22 and he didn't stop growing we'll be doing seniors. On his passport he is 147cm (he's about 15hh now) and name 'Dream Machine' *rolls eyes* and when he jumped juniors he was registered as Dream Machine IV or something rubbish like that. So my question is when I re-register him, do I have to use the silly name or can I change it?? And do I need to get a height certificate with his current height? I doubt he'll grow much
more as he's nearly 6 now

Thanks in advance, I'm clueless about these things!

if you register him as a horse he starts with £0 on his card. you can change the name but it costs. last time i did it was £160 . horses don't have to be measured to do seniors

thanks for clearing that one up

I had this with Dunlop, his passport says 146 he's currently 15.2 but as i was registering as a horse it didnt matter.

Re the name change i spoke to them about my mare... she was registered 2yrs ago with me but had injury etc so been out of comp. During this time i decided to breed from her. She is weatherbys registered but never had a name registered but i wanted foalie to have her name on papers so had to register a name. Her BSJA was already taken with weatherbys. So made new one. Spoke to BSJA about registering her under her new name and they said would cost me a name change fee so she will be under BSJA as her old name. (long story but hope it gives you and idea)

He will only have nil winnings on his card if he didn't win any money as a pony.
If you register a pony as a horse they carry over any winnings with them.
