He's on IV antibiotics, anti inflammatory's and pain killers twice a day, and today has turned a corner for the better. He's looking at long term box rest and is very under weight. What can we feed him to help him along? He's currently getting 3 feeds a day of Alfa A Oil, Build Up and Sugar Beets. Apples Carrotts Banana's and all sorts of other tasty things are being offered and he's on had lib good quality hay. Thank you
 
A balancer is good in such situations as its not too much for the horse to digest and can be fed. As a treat. Its also a good tip to feed from a door manger at such a time. Fingers crossed for a complete recovery
 
Thanks guys, he's such a big sweet heart and its so sad seeing him poorly. Hopefully he'll continue improving now he's turned a corner.
