Blue is fab, he is very confident and not scared of anything, despite not being too well socialised before I got him.

However, his inquisitiveness (sp) is driving me mad. He has to be in everything, you can't do anything or even walk accross the field without him following you to see what you are doing. OH thinks its sweet, I think it's annoying and he needs to learn some manners. He knows 'back up' and 'no' and he isn't acutally that clumsy, but won't take no for an answer. He loves to lick, which is endearing at first but bloody annoying when he won't leave you alone!

Any help and advice greatly appreciated! I don't want him to lose his cheeky chappy personality, but he needs to be taught a few manners.

I agree my youngster kept putting his nose in your face and to me that is bad manners as if he did that to the boss if him in field he would get a right telling off as he is invading your space so i give mine a prod in his nose with my 2 fingers as he was getting to be a bit too in your face now after a couple of weeks he is a lot better behaved.
I agree with you though you don't want him to be doing it when he is a fully mature horse as they soon start to walk all over you, the following you is ok as it means hes following his leader but if you stop he should always stop behind you as if hes getting infront of you that is also another sign of disrespect. Good luck
